Man Down
Provides a visual alert notification with text alongside real time video upon the detection of an emergency alert. Used in conjunction with a personal emergency transmitter designed for use by guards and security officers in prisons and institutions, or by people working alone in industrial and other high-risk facilities.
ConvergenceTP has produced the next level in event notification for use with today’s video management systems. The integration of video surveillance with descriptive text and/or images, displayed alongside the video at the time an alarmed event occurs, provides information to Safety and Security personnel precisely when they need it the most.
Critical Features: The advantage of combining video surveillance and Man-Down tracking technology is to push camera views, associated with the RFID readers closest to the Man-Down event, to the video monitoring station immediately upon detection of the event. The convergence of live video supplemented with the Man-Down alert message allows Security and Safety personnel to assess the situation quickly and prepare their response more efficiently. The alert message is displayed on-screen highlighting the EVENT by type and providing the location and name of the person sending the alert. The convergence of these technologies helps in the following situations:
- Panic - Guard needs help; cameras in the vicinity of this alert can be pushed to the command center.
- Man - Down event – camera views can aid in determining the best approach into the area.
- Pull Cord Alert – visual capture showing removal of Man –Down transmitter from guard.
- Test Button Alert – provides a system check to determine the guard’s location and confirms the associated video is responding correctly.
Enhanced Usability: Allows the user to tailor their own detailed message for each event.

ConvergenceTP has taken the next step in meeting customers’ needs through its new hypermedia search engine, shown below. Keywords are used in the search to retrieve events and their associated video. The search engine provides a listing of events based on parameters defined by the end user from drop down menus and offers one button access to the camera views plus a CSV output file for easy exporting for use with spread sheets like MS Excel. Reports can be generated easily showing events over specified time periods or identifying changes in certain security or work related events
