The integration of video surveillance with descriptive text and/or images, displayed alongside the video at the time an alarmed event occurs, provides information to Safety and Security personnel precisely when they need it the most.
Critical Features: The advantage of combining video surveillance and facial recognition technology is to push alerts and user defined procedures associated with the facial recognition to the client upon detection.. The convergence of live video supplemented with the facial recognition allows Security and Safety personnel to assess the situation quickly and prepare their response more efficiently. The alert message is displayed on-screen highlighting the EVENT by type and providing the location and identity of the person that triggered the alert. The convergence of these technologies helps in the following situations:
- Terminated Employee - individual returning to the work place needs to be stopped at the gate or entrance to the property not at the front door of the facility.
- Aggressive Behavior – a person of interest who has demonstrated aggressive behavior to employees in the past and is now entering the property needs to be detected and have an alert sent security of their presence. Providing this information immediately allows security the time to prepare the proper response.
- Restricted Area Alert – detect unauthorized individuals entering restricted areas. Individual can be assigned privileges to access selected areas, Those without privileges will be flagged upon detection. .
- Send emails and text messages when events take place. Having a direct interface to the feature rich tools within the VMS systems provides notification to individuals and departments beyond the immediate security force.
ConvergenceTP has taken the next step in meeting customers’ needs through its new hypermedia search engine, shown below. Keywords are used in the search to retrieve events and their associated video. The search engine provides a listing of events based on parameters defined by the end user from drop down menus and offers one button access to the camera views plus a CSV output file for easy exporting for use with spread sheets like MS Excel. Reports can be generated easily showing events over specified time periods or identifying changes in certain security or work related events
